Human Rights Violations During Ramadan

We must abolish blasphemy laws, NOW! They are archaic, oppressive, and designed to silence, punish, and kill those who dare to think freely. These laws are not about respect for the religious; they are a weapon used by theocratic regimes and extremist mobs to crush dissent, erase minority voices, and terrorise those who challenge religious dogma.

No Hijab Day 2025

At least four people, including a toddler, were killed, and 68 others were injured when Taleb Al Abdulmohsen deliberately drove into the Magdeburg Christmas Market on December 20. Abdulmohsen, a Saudi-born doctor and self-proclaimed ex-Muslim atheist activist, starkly illustrates that right-wing extremism knows no racial, cultural, or religious boundaries. Despite being an immigrant, he was an outspoken supporter of the far-right AfD, harboring vehemently anti-Muslim and anti-migrant views. His attack was reportedly motivated by anger at Germany’s acceptance of Muslim refugees.

The Largest Ex-Muslim Conference

Celebrating Dissent

Council of ExMuslims of Britian hosted the first Celebrating Dissent in London, the largest gathering of ex-Muslims in history. Following the Conference the International Coalition of Ex-Muslims was launched.

Celebrating Dissent is a global gathering of Ex-Muslims and allies, dedicated to empowering activists, secular voices, and freethinkers from around the world. This conference provides a critical platform for those who have left Islam, as well as other dissenting voices, to unite, share ideas, and amplify their messages of freedom from religion.

Building on the success of previous conferences in Oslo (2024), Paris (2023), Cologne (2022), Amsterdam (2019), and London (2017 & 2014), Celebrating Dissent continues to grow as a vital space for dissenting voices to come together, strengthen their connections, and celebrate their freedom.
