Ex-Muslims international
Founded in 2017 at the International Conference on Freedom of Conscience and Expression in London, Ex-Muslims International is a global coalition connecting Ex-Muslim organizations around the world.
We unite groups and partner activists to defend the rights of those who question, leave, or reject Islam. Our coalition is grounded in the values of freedom of thought, secularism, and universal human rights.
By joining forces, we amplify each other’s work, coordinate international campaigns, and strengthen support networks.
Who Can Join?
Coalition membership is open to:
– Ex-Muslim organizations
– Key Ex-Muslim activists partnering with member organisations
– Secular, Atheist & Humanist organizations
❗ EXMI connects organisations and advocates—not individual members. However, individuals are welcome to volunteer, attend events, or amplify coalition campaigns.
What does EXMI membership involve?
- Agree to and uphold our Manifesto: Members must align with EXMI’s core values—freedom of belief, secularism, human rights, and nonviolence—to keep the coalition safe, inclusive, and mission-driven.
- Attend monthly coalition meetings: Stay connected, share updates, and engage with members across regions like the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, and beyond.
- Amplify campaigns and public statements: Help raise awareness by sharing EXMI initiatives, press releases, and key messages through your platforms.
- Collaborate on international events: Work with coalition members to co-create and promote campaigns—such as Ex-Muslim Awareness Month in December—and other global efforts.
- Provide mutual support: Offer solidarity, resources, and co-promotion to strengthen the network and support one another’s efforts.
