Coalition Policies
Below is a list of the policies that the Coalition has written, approved and adopted.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Ex-Muslims International member groups and individuals (i.e. associates, affiliates) must consent to this Code of Conduct document in order to retain membership with the Coalition.
Ex-Muslims International, our associates and our affiliates around the world share a core set of values. This document reflects the Code of Conduct we hold all members to.
- Privacy and Confidentiality
Members must respect the privacy of individuals both within and outside the coalition. Personal details, experiences, and other sensitive information shared in coalition spaces must remain confidential and never be disclosed without explicit consent.
- Non-Harassment and Respectful Interaction
All members are expected to maintain a harassment-free environment, where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Any form of bullying, intimidation, unwelcome advances, or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
- Boundaries and Consent
Members should always respect personal boundaries in both professional and social interactions. This includes seeking clear consent before sharing personal information, making physical contact, or engaging in any form of communication that could be perceived as invasive or inappropriate.
- Professional Conduct and Representation
Whether representing themselves or their organization, members must conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism in all interactions. Behavior that undermines trust, manipulates others, or otherwise causes harm to individuals within the coalition or the broader community is strictly prohibited.
- Zero Tolerance for Retaliation
Members must feel safe to raise concerns within the Coalition in private regarding privacy violations, harassment, or misconduct without fear of retaliation. Any form of punitive action against someone who reports or addresses inappropriate behavior is strictly forbidden.
